Greatness is not a function of circumstance, but a matter of conscious change, therefore do not allow negative mindsets dominate your thought.
Also become more conscious of the decisions you make and the critical implications of your decisions.
5 Tips for Achieving Workplace Greatness
1.Change your mentality about being good at what you do; good is the enemy of great, so instead of striving to be good, strive to be great. Seek daily marginal improvements and see the impact after 3 months.
2.People are your most important assets, therefore endeavour to choose and connect with the right people. People headed in the same progressive direction as you. People with highly progressive mindset and thoughtful about their work and careers.
3.Be persistent- Maintain unwavering faith and focus towards your tasks, notwithstanding the difficulties that surrounds it. Push over the huddles and do not allow rejection stop your advancement. Keep at it. Keep going.
4.Improve your competency– be open to learn and relearn, do not rely only on your past experience/ knowledge, broaden your horizon. Become uncomfortable with limited knowledge, increase your appetite for functional knowledge.
5.Practice a culture of discipline– Jim Collins says “When you have disciplined people, you do not need hierarchy. When you have disciplined thought, you don’t need bureaucracy. When you have disciplined actions, you don’t need excessive control. When you combine a culture of discipline with ethics of successful entrepreneurship, you get the magical alchemy of great performance.” Therefore be disciplined.
